Bhaktivedanta Swami Mission School

About The School

The Bhaktivedanta Swami Mission School was established in 1988 at the Hare Krishna Land, Juhu in keeping with the Principles of Vedic Education as given by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivendanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness( ISKCON)

Srila Prabhupada founded ISKCON in 1966. He went to the Western countries on the instruction of his guru, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur, to save the troubled and misguided youth and lead them to a life of spirituality that came down to us from our predecessors.

In keeping with the Vedic norms of education, Srila Prabhupada started “Gurukulas” in many parts of the world. These residential schools strictly follow the Vedic life style and principles of education.

The Bhaktivedanta Swami Mission School in Mumbai is unique in the sense that it is a day school and yet imparts the same Vedic Education balancing it with basic material education, following the high standards of the ICSE Board.
